Toyota forms her robots to wipe the tables while taking selfies

Apparently, C, and this is a matter of machines design problems for household tasks must overcome. Toyota has developed a solution for the problem and has published a video demonstrating its robot wiping tables and other surfaces – while taking the video itself.

As society explains, “most robots are scheduled to react to objects and geometry before them” and can not differentiate a real object and reflection. Something as common as a drink glass or a brilliant toaster could prevent robots from working in homes to do their tasks properly. Toyota says he overcame this problem by developing a new training method that allows the robots to “perceive the 3D geometry of the stage while detecting objects and surfaces”.

In the video, you will see Toyota’s robot for 3D geometry of various elements in a house, which allows it to recognize all kinds of surfaces wiped, such as tables and countertops. It can even detect transparent glasses and move them aside.

Max Bajracharya, Vice President of Robotics to Sort, said: “Training robots to understand how to operate in home environments poses specific challenges because of the diversity and complexity of our homes where small tasks can be ‘Add to great challenges. ” The Bajracharya team aims to develop robotic capabilities to amplify human capabilities, so that machines can help people in an aging society. This development is a big step forward to achieve this goal.
